At the entrance is SunRidge Corner – a retail development that includes Tim Horton’s, Subway, Great Canadian Liquor, Mac’s and Esso.  Within the neighbourhood find natural wetland park areas skirted by a trail system that links to the universal trail system and coulee pathways.

On the west side of SunRidge you’ll find the recently opened, Senator Joyce Fairbairn Middle school and Watermark Park. This park features two soccer fields, a softball diamond, basketball courts, playground equipment, skateboard plaza, BMX pump track, outdoor fitness and play equipment and a rock climbing structure. For elementary schools, to the east is St. Patrick’s Fine Arts and to the south is Gerald Probe – all within walking distance.

Within a short drive, facilities include the University of Lethbridge, Paradise Canyon Golf Resort, Popson Park and Cottonwood Park. Other nearby services include grocery stores, coffee shops, pharmacies, banks, medical clinics and a hardware store.

SunRidge Architectural Controls

Environmental, economic and social sustainability are incorporated from the ground up in every element of SunRidge.

This green community is governed by an environmentally responsible philosophy that includes:

  • a minimum Built Green bronze standard for all buildings

  • an open space system that incorporates sustainable design principles

  • alternate energy sources

  • natural landscaping practices

  • functional transportation networks

  • accessible and open green spaces

In order to ensure that SunRidge develops as a cohesive unit we've also established a set of Architectural Controls and Design Guidelines that each home builder and property owner is required to follow.  These guidelines are in place to develop and protect a sense of integrity within SunRidge, as well as aid in the maintenance of property values and neighbourhood aesthetics.
